Job summary

Minco Tool & Mold Inc. seeks an experienced CNC machinist to set up and operate machining centers for cutting, drilling, milling, and other operations on metal and non-metal parts.

You will read blueprints, select tools, position workpieces, and monitor machine performance to ensure conformity with specifications. The role requires 2–4 years of trade school or apprenticeship and hands-on experience with CNC equipment, measuring instruments, and safe working practices in a factory environment.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and planning sheets to determine tooling and machining methods.
• Sets up tooling and workpieces on machines.
• Selects and installs cutting tools in machine spindle.
• Loads control media or enters commands to retrieve pre-programmed instructions.
• Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle relative to workpiece.
• Regulates cutting depth, speeds, feeds, and coolant flow.
• Starts machine and monitors operation to detect malfunctions.
• Stops machine to change tools and setup per sequence or to measure parts for conformance.
• Enters commands or adjusts controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Operates machines manually for non-automated functions.
• Edits preprogrammed material to tie programs together and run automatic.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and measures parts and fixtures for follow-up machining.
• Keeps work area and machines clean and organized.
• May perform manual maintenance.
• Operates forklift (license required).
• Follow supervisor or programming personnel to resolve media errors.
