Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision in the Pediatrics unit. Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, in the 1048 SLC-CH Pediatrics department.

Duties include taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients and reporting changes to nursing staff. Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior patient care or health care related experience preferred
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff, including taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report changes promptly.
• Assist with basic patient care tasks as directed within scope of practice.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment and participate in teamwork with the nursing staff.
