Job summary

Banner Health's Torrington Community Hospital is searching for a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the 25-bed Critical Access unit on the night shift (3 x 12s, 6:00pm-6:30am). You will deliver routine patient care, assist with admissions, and promote an organized workflow for physicians, nurses, and the care team.

You will document patient data, maintain records, and support clerical tasks to ensure efficient unit operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required.
• Experience: 1 year in medical clerical work or healthcare/customer service preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care.
• Document patient data and progress in the medical records; maintain unit records.
• Assist with admission processes, bed assignments and face sheets, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and care team.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations and patient flow.
• Transcribe and process physician orders in the electronic medical record under supervision.
