Job summary

Bristol Health is hiring a Nurse Aide / Patient Care Assistant for the 3rd shift at our Bristol, CT campus. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, following clinical pathways and documenting care activities.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, valid CT CNA certification, BLS CPR, and at least 1 year of experience in long-term care or behavioral health. Join our CARE-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must have a valid and active CNA Certification in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have a valid CPR w/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in long term care and/or behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under supervision/direction of the registered nurse.
• Assists with bathing / personal hygiene, ambulation, feeding, and toileting.
• Assists with vital signs, weights, safety checks, and continuous observation.
• Exhibits knowledge of computer skills and patient data entry.
• Demonstrates teamwork, empathy, and strong work ethic in a patient-centered environment.
