Job summary

Valley Health in Winchester Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine personal care for patients under supervision. The role supports patient safety and comfort, while enabling staff to deliver high-quality care in a busy clinical setting.

The CNA will work on the third shift, maintain safety, report issues, and may coach newer staff as they gain experience. A high school diploma and Virginia/West Virginia CNA registry eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Must be competent to interact with patients according to age and needs.
• Reliable means of phone communication with hospital.
• Flu vaccination required ( Valley Health provided annual flu vaccine for Long-Term Care areas).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care duties for patients under supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports problems.
• Supports mission and vision of Valley Health facilities.
• May act as a preceptor after experience.
