Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center. The role involves routine personal care, maintaining safety, and supporting patient-focused care on the third shift.

Under supervision, you will assist patients across age groups, adhere to care plans, and may precept new CNAs as you gain experience. A high school diploma and nursing registry eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Must be competent to successfully interact with patients according to their age.
• Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital.
• Must obtain Valley Health provided annual flu vaccination if employed in Long-Term Care clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• The CNA, under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs routine personal care duties for patients.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
• Supports the mission and vision of Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.
• May act as a preceptor in the orientation of new CNA's.
