Qualifications

• Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required.
• Must be listed on the Board of Nursing as a CNA in Virginia and/or West Virginia depending on work location.
• BLS Certification - American Heart Healthcare Provider - AHA approved required.
• New hires must have AHA appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
• Flu vaccination may be required for Long-Term Care areas.

Responsibilities

• The CNA, under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs routine personal care duties for patients.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
• Supports the mission and vision of Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.
• May act as a preceptor in the orientation of new CNAs.
