Job summary

Valley Health System in Winchester Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine personal care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

You will maintain a safe patient environment, report issues, and may serve as a preceptor for new CNAs as you gain experience. A high school diploma is preferred and CNA registry plus BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Registry of the Board of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Aide required.
• Must be listed on CNA registry in Virginia and/or West Virginia based on work location.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association required.
• New hires must have AHA certification prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care duties for patients under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
• May act as a preceptor in the orientation of new CNAs.
