Job summary

MercyOne Centerville Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a 12-hour night shift to provide compassionate patient care under RN supervision. The role supports pediatric to geriatric patients in a rural community hospital setting, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Candidates must hold a Certified Nurse Aide certificate, be 18+, and obtain BLS and Iowa Mandatory Reporter within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide certificate is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• BLS and Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Adult and Child must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Pass food trays and assist with feeding and tray setup.
• Transport patients using wheelchair or gurney.
• Keep patient rooms stocked with supplies.
• Assist with unit cleaning and removal of outdated products.
• Be flexible to float to other areas as needed and support co-workers.
