Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role focuses on personal hygiene, nutrition, and activities of daily living on a full-time night shift.

Education requirements include geriatric aid certification or active Iowa Nurse Aide registry listing, or enrollment in an ADN/BSN program. Nursing Assistant experience is preferred, with additional weekend/holiday coverage as noted.

Qualifications

• Completion of geriatric aid certification or active Iowa Nurse Aide registry.
• Enrollment in an ADN/BSN program or completion of nursing courses.

• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet department needs with self-motivation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, and ADLs.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Document care and communicate patient needs to the nursing team.
