Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant for night shifts to join our not-for-profit team serving seniors in a Christian environment.

You will provide resident-centered care under RN supervision, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, support dining, and help maintain infection prevention and care plans. CNAs must be certified or enrolled; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrolled in a training program for certification; facility provides training.
• Complete yearly competency testing and 12 hours CE annually.
• If applicable, registered with the UAP Registry.
• May be classified as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist residents with transferring, positioning, and mobility; perform ROM and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness/recreational programs and participate in committees as needed.
