Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care during night shifts in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse.

You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, documentation, and basic health care needs while maintaining infection control and safety protocols. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board, or in training to obtain certification within four months.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education requirements (12 hours yearly).
• State registry requirement where applicable (UAP).
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with driving policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to RN.
• Assist with transfer techniques and use of equipment.
• Support wellness and recreational activities and maintain sanitation and safety.
