Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care team under RN supervision. Night shifts and full-time schedule complement a 40-hour workweek.

Required CNA certification with the state, or enrollment in a training program. A 10,000-dollar sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates; driving may be required per facility policy.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or be in process of obtaining certification.
• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours CE required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and health-related tasks.
• Support transfer, positioning, and mobility with proper technique.
• Assist with meals, dining, and nutrition support.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to RN.
