Job summary

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant (CNA/LNA) for the Ortho/GI Medical-Surgical unit on the 5th Floor. The role includes routine patient care, data collection, and supportive unit functions on a night shift (3,12s) or part-time night schedule.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, current CNA in-state, and BLS. New hires may receive a sign-on bonus; weekend and night shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA license is required for new hires and transfers.
• Current BLS certification is required for this role.
• Must have CNA in state of practice; Tucson incumbents have special conditions.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and human relations skills.
• Experience with medical terminology and basic computer data entry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to care plans.
• Collect patient data, vital signs, I/O, and document in medical records.
• Report abnormalities to a licensed professional and ensure continuity of care.
• Perform procedures under supervision, including EKGs and basic tests as allowed.
• Handle receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records, chart forms, and supply orders; support documentation.
• Monitor supplies and assist with transport of patients and equipment as needed.
• Assist with OR turnover and pre/post-operative patient movement when assigned.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on customer service.
