Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant I (CNA) for the Inpatient Rehab unit on the night shift. The role involves direct patient care, coordinating with RN/LPN, and maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The NA will perform basic care tasks, monitor patient conditions, record data in the electronic health record, and support a multidisciplinary team in a busy inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering routine and special treatments to patients.
• Ability to lift or move patients weighing over 35 pounds with assistance or appropriate lift equipment.
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Take and record vital signs, document patient data, and assist with admission, discharge and transportation.
