Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant I (CNA) for the inpatient rehabilitation unit. This PRN role offers one 12-hour shift per week and requires collaboration with RNs and LPNs to provide direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant I certification as listed by NC DHHS.
• BCLS certification must be maintained by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance.
• Record patient data for medical records and inform nursing staff of findings.
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, mobility, and basic patient care.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients.
• Follow standard precautions and PPE protocols.
• Document and communicate changes in patient condition.
