Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD seeks an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for our Float Pool II to support patient care with dedication to safety and quality. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform ADLs and monitor vital signs, and contribute to a compassionate healing environment.

The role offers a night shift with a 36-hour week, and a per diem/temporary status with eligibility for base insurance and the 403(b) retirement plan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Maryland CNA license required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• One year of hospital experience with computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the RN.
• Participate in education programs, meetings and professional initiatives.
• Maintain safety and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Prepare and maintain clean work areas and equipment.
