Job summary

A Nurse Assistant position at Avera Majestic Bluffs/Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton, SD, offers a night shift schedule from 5:30pm to 6am with a rotating weekend/holiday pattern. The role is in training to become a Certified Nurse Assistant and may lead to CNA certification and Medication Aide certification.

You will assist residents with daily living, perform routine tasks, monitor vitals, document findings, and support families.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensure within 120 days in the practice state.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• In training to become Nurse Assistant certified and/or Medication Aide certified.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform routine and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff.
• Measure vital signs and document findings.
• Restock supplies and maintain a clean environment.
• Provide emotional, educational and spiritual support to families.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
