Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to support residents in a not-for-profit, Christian environment in Syracuse, NE. The NA will provide caregiver services, daily living assistance, and basic health care tasks under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, transfers, vital signs, and documentation, while following infection control policies and PPE usage. Part-time schedule with night shifts and 24 weekly hours.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical/NAC experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process/endorsed equivalence; training provided by facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions; communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises; support infection prevention practices.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness/recreational programs.
