Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant for night shifts in our busy hospital units. You will provide essential patient care, assist with daily living activities, and support licensed staff to ensure safe, quality care.

The role requires current CA CNA certification, HeartSaver AED, and crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire. You will document care in the EMR and respond quickly to patient needs in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Reports any variance in patient condition to licensed staff.
• Answers patient call lights within two minutes as assigned.
• Greets patients and families and assists with needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient care information.
• Documents all care provided in the EMR as soon after care occurs as possible.
• Assists nursing staff with tasks delegated by the RN.
• Provides for patient toilet needs and assist with ADLs.
• Supports admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Maintains professional appearance and a safe patient environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
