Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA is seeking a Patient Transport Aide for night shifts to ensure timely, courteous patient transports across our hospital. You will support nursing staff by moving patients and transporting specimens, while maintaining safety and quality of care.

This role requires a High School diploma, Heartsaver AED certification, and the ability to pass the Physical Capacity Exam. A patient-centered approach and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Heartsaver AED certification required.
• Testing: must pass the Physical Capacity Exam (PCE).

Responsibilities

• Transports patients throughout the hospital as assigned.
• Delivers lab specimens to Laboratory.
• Responds to Code Blue, Rapid Response and Code Grey.
• Safely delivers medications.
• Assists in turning and repositioning of patients.
• Bed exchanges and transfers patients onto specialty beds; sets up bed extenders.
• Cleans equipment after use and provides general equipment cleaning.
