Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complicated laboratory procedures in the assigned section.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Cross-trains to other laboratory sections as needed.
• Ensures the laboratory quality control program is properly followed.
• Calculates, enters, and verifies results; uses the Laboratory Information System.
• Notifies and documents critical laboratory values.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science

Equivalent US bachelor’s degree or credentialing (credentialing agency evaluation)
