Job summary

You will operate and troubleshoot instruments, participate in quality control, and support development of new testing protocols within a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree or higher in a lab science from an accredited institution or equivalent training per CLIA 42CFR493.1489
• Equivalency evaluation accepted to meet US bachelor’s degree equivalency
• New graduates Board Certified or eligible and must complete certification within 1 year (Louisiana excluded)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures in assigned sections.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation; report results.
• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed.
• Ensure quality control program is properly followed; document results.
• Process patient specimens with appropriate handling and distribution.
• Utilize the Laboratory Information System for data entry and result reporting.
• Notify and document critical laboratory values.
• Participate in development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
• Adhere to CORE values and complete required compliance tasks.
