MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Lab Scientist for a Reno, Nevada assignment. The role requires a valid laboratory technologist certification and at least 18 months of experience in medical laboratory testing.

A state license may be required, with duties focused on analyzing specimens and reporting results. The position is travel-based, with a 13-week duration, 36 hours per week, and night shifts.

Formación

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB is required.
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required.
• A state license may be required.
• Basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests.

Responsabilidades

• The Medical Laboratory Technologist will test blood and bodily fluids using complex lab equipment to generate information.
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites.
• Measure drug levels or other chemicals in blood to ensure therapeutic levels.
• Assess blood chemistry for nutrient deficiencies or cholesterol/glucose excesses.
• Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes and other lab equipment.
• Follow lab protocol for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results.
