Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist for a full-time night shift in Topeka, Kansas. The MSP will perform a wide range of tests across hematology, microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis, and immunohematology, ensuring QC and accurate results.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in MLS or related field, ASCP MLS certification, and at least 1 year of specimen collection or testing experience. On-site work with adherence to safety and CLIA regulations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• ASCP MLS certification required; state licensure may be accepted if applicable.
• 1 year experience performing specimen collection or testing.

Responsibilities

• Process and handle blood and other specimens according to established procedures.
• Perform a variety of tests in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis and immunohematology.
• Maintain QC on analytical systems and troubleshoot out-of-control results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment per manuals and policies.
• Provide education and training to new staff and interns as directed.
