Job summary
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for full-time night shifts (1900-0730). Responsibilities include conducting a variety of laboratory procedures, analytical testing of blood and specimens, data interpretation, and contributing to quality control and performance improvement.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science and 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred, with strong English communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or related field required.
- 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and safe handling of specimens.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment checks and specimen handling.
- Conduct analytical testing and report results according to SOPs.
- Ensure quality control and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Train new staff and support laboratory leadership.
