Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (SQL/LSA) in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a Lab Assistant to support technical staff with collection, receipt, and processing of specimens for analytical testing, under CLIA-aligned supervision.

This role may involve specimen preparation, basic QA/QC, and communication with internal teams. Night shift, with pay starting at $19 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 18+ if phlebotomy is performed.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain fingerprint certification.
• Valid state driver’s license in the state of employment and eligible for company auto insurance coverage.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification as defined by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patient samples, including specimen collection and proper identification.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision and follow SOPs.
• Assist with inventory management and control of supplies and materials.
• Provide miscellaneous support including phlebotomy and training; update training documents as needed.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and participate in staff meetings.
