Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Night shift Medical Laboratory Technician to perform waived and non-waived tests under CLIA ’88 supervision, delivering accurate results and maintaining compliance with accrediting agencies.

Responsibilities include startup and calibration of instruments, quality control, specimen collection and processing, inventory management, and effective communication with internal and external customers to ensure quality and timely service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological) or medical laboratory technology, or
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science, or
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience per CLIA 42CFR493.1489 or 42CFR493.1491
• Certification maintenance in Nevada or California if applicable
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Performs testing in an accurate and timely manner according to policies and performance standards.
• Recognizes and ensures validity of abnormal results and documents deviations.
• Assists with inventory management and efficient use of reagents and supplies.
• Participates in training and provides guidance when supervisor is absent.
• Communicates professionally with internal and external customers.
