Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decisional Unit (CDU) on nights. The CDU is a fast-paced, hospital-based unit for up to 16 hours of observation where nurses decide on discharge or admission based on patient needs and nursing assessment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of staff nurse experience, preferably in cardiac telemetry or critical care, with an active Illinois RN license and CPR; ACLS within 3 months of hire and NIHSS/PALS/NRP as

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
State licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois.
Cardiac telemetry and critical care experience preferred.
CPR and ACLS certifications required/expected within the stated timelines.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Maintains competency reflective of current standards of practice.
Guides and supervises nursing personnel and supports peers.
Integrates evidence-based practice and ensures safety for patients and staff.
Documents nursing care thoroughly and timely.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
