The position requires BSN preferred, 2 years staff nurse experience, and IL RN licensure, with AHA CPR certification. Night shifts include weekends and holidays rotating as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Two years experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Clinical nursing skills, effective communication, teaching and motivational skills.
• Specialty Board Certification within 2 years of promotion.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, delegate, communicate and think critically on clinical and operational issues.
• Serve as a resource to nursing staff and medical staff.
• Collaborate with admitting, Bed Coordinator, and Supervisor to plan timely placements for admissions and transfers.
• Make rounds to assess patient condition and changes.
• Facilitate bed control and assist in timely discharges.
