Job summary

Wood Fruitticher is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers between designated facilities. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement and a current DOT medical card.

Night shifts run Sunday through Thursday, with start times in the late afternoon or evening and routes finishing in the early morning. You will hook up and disconnect trailers, manage a 3,500 lb converter dolly, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs per DOT and company

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with doubles endorsement and a current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
• Ability to safely maneuver and position a 3,500 lb converter dolly.
• Knowledge of and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to schedule requirements.
• Night shift availability Sunday–Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to shuttle trailers between locations.
• Hook up and disconnect trailers, including lowering the trailer jack and securing the 5th wheel.
• Safely maneuver and position a 3,500 lb converter dolly.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and inspection reports.
• Navigate varied road and weather conditions during night shifts.
• Sit for extended periods and climb in and out of the truck during shifts.
