Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc on Main Campus in Columbus, OH seeks a Mental Health Specialist I for the Child Unit during nights. The position is 0.6–0.8 FTE, with weekend requirements and shift differentials.

Responsibilities include trauma-informed patient care, collaboration with the care team, and maintaining safety. Must have a high school diploma, be enrolled in an undergrad psychology/social work program or have equivalent education, and hold BLS, TCI, and First Aid certifications

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in half of a Psychology, Social Work, or related undergrad program, or equivalent experience, required.
• One year of hospital mental health experience in the past three years, or equivalent education, required.

Responsabilidades

• Participates with the interdisciplinary team in specialized patient care.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families on the unit and provides education.
• Delivers trauma-informed care and uses de-escalation techniques to maintain safety.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
• Serves as a resource to unit staff on diagnoses, behavior plans, and crisis management.
