Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. in Franklin, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time packaging operator for the evening shift. You will efficiently package cheese, rotate across line positions, and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety policies.

The role requires reading production worksheets and maintaining data on production reports. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to a growing, community-focused dairy operation.

Qualifications

• Can consistently push, pull, and lift between 20 and 40 pounds.
• Can work with frequent bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and maneuvering around manufacturing equipment.
• Can continuously stand or walk on a concrete surface.
• Can work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
• Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Have basic analytical and numerical skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement.
• Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
• Have a working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S policies.
• Efficiently package cheese into desired packaging material.
• Identify and communicate out-of-spec product conditions and follow protocol.
• Assist in packaging setup including machinery, date code printers, computers, labels, ingredients.
• Perform quality checks to ensure packaging meets customer specifications.
• Read and comprehend production worksheets.
• Rotate through all positions on the line.
• Box and palletize boxes with accurate counts and proper identification.
• Sanitize lines when needed and enter data on production reports.
