Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of nursing care using the nursing process for the individual patient.
• Provide direct care and supervise nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Coordinate nursing unit activities related to patient care.
• Educate patients and families as needed.
• Provide leadership and clinical guidance to nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review to inform the plan of care and education plan.
