Job summary

Cynet Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech (Certified) for a 13-week night shift assignment. You will perform cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and assemble instrument sets for both emergent and routine cases.

Under supervision, you will maintain sterilization logs, prepare case carts, and coordinate with operating room staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies. A HS diploma and CST certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of maintenance and sterilization of medical supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of proper safety practices of steam and gas plasma sterilization.
• Knowledge of simple record keeping principles and practices.
• Skill in understanding and following verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Ability to read, spell, and do simple math.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation and reusable supply items.
• Coordinates and prepares necessary supplies and instruments for emergent and routine surgical cases.
• Assembles and wraps instrument sets.
• Tests, operates, and loads autoclaves.
• Maintains sterilization log sheets and inventory levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
