Qualifikationen

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required. Current CNA in state of practice is required for new hires.
• In Tucson: CNA in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer without CNA.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in hospital or physician office setting, or customer service.
• Excellent organizational skills, and effective human relations and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills.
• ECG/EEG interpretation training or equivalent required depending on department.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and related compliance for specific Banner Health units.

Aufgaben

• Provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
• Collects patient data including vital signs and input/output; documents in medical records.
• Recognizes changes in patient status and communicates with licensed professionals.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment under supervision (blood draws, foley removal, EKGs).
• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintains patient records, supplies, and equipment; supports charting and orders.
• Transports patients as needed and assists in OR room turnover.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with focus on customer service and teamwork.
