Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA in state of practice.
• In Tucson: CNA in state of practice required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience or related work.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; computer literacy required.
• Passing ECG/EEG interpretation score (85%+).
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card where applicable.
• Arizona criminal history affidavit signed at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the plan of care.
• Collect patient data including vital signs, input/output, and document in EMR.
• Report abnormalities to licensed professional and ensure continuity of care.
• Perform delegated procedures and use equipment (blood draws, catheter removal, EKG).
• Support unit operations; receptionist/clerical duties and issue resolution.
• Maintain patient records; ensure forms are scanned and accessible.
• Manage supplies and assist ordering; track equipment.
• Transport patients as needed and assist with OR turnover.
• Work under supervision in a fast-paced, patient‑focused environment.

Education

High school diploma / GED

BLS certification

CNA certification (state)

1 year medical clerical experience

Excellent organizational & communication skills

Medical terminology knowledge

Computer literacy / keyboarding

ECG/EEG interpretation (85%)
