Job summary

Interstate Waste Services, Inc. is hiring Class A Truck Drivers in Jersey City, NJ for an overnight, Monday–Friday schedule starting at 8pm. Drivers operate tractor trailers between transfer stations and rail yards, earning $29.82 per hour with overtime after 40 hours.

Local routes mean home daily, with benefits and a strong safety culture. Candidate must have a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and 1 year of relevant experience in the last 7 years.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year CDL-A experience within last 7 years; intermodal/container experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer per safety standards, OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Home daily on a Monday–Friday schedule.
• Provide reliable, courteous service with customers and dispatch.
• Conduct pre- and post-route inspections and report safety issues.
• Maintain vehicle and safety equipment, including tarps and ties.
