Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A driver to transport food products across intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight runs. You will operate tractor/trailer, perform safety checks, and ensure timely deliveries with professional customer service and accurate documentation.

The role requires at least 12 months of commercial driving, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds. Benefits include Day 1 health, 401(k) matching, stock purchase plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 10–90 pounds and handle loading/unloading tasks.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Operate tractor-trailer or straight truck safely per DOT regulations.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Deliver and unload products to customers on scheduled routes.
• Obtain customer signatures and collect payments when required.
• Complete accurate freight paperwork and route documentation.
• Secure equipment and maintain tidy loading/ unloading areas.
