Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to support the food distribution network. This role involves operating tractor-trailer or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes, with overnight and layover duties as needed.

You will ensure on-time deliveries, safety compliance, and professional customer interactions. Responsibilities include performing safety inspections, documenting hours, loading/unloading, and securing freight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Current DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate, interstate, local, OTR, shuttle, and overnight routes.
• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Pre/post trip safety checks and DOT compliance.
• Unloads and delivers orders, obtains signatures and payments when required.
• Maintains paperwork accuracy and completes daily hours of service.
