Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Neuro unit. You will provide direct patient care in Med/Surg/Telemetry, follow nursing process, monitor cardiac status, and educate patients and families.

This full-time night shift role offers a sign-on bonus and a competitive benefits package. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, ensuring safety and quality of care, and guiding junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family education and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
