Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical nursing knowledge and judgement for complex patient care.
• Monitors and interprets patient data and interprets monitoring equipment.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans.
• Documents patient care in a timely, accurate manner ensuring regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to manage unit operations.
• Provides care appropriate to patients’ age and developmental needs.
• Participates in unit education, leadership, and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains compliant and safe clinical environment and workflow.
