Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Cake Decorator to apply decorating techniques on cakes and pastries while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will take orders, assist customers, and prepare and merchandise fresh bakery items daily.

The role requires strong customer service, reading and following production lists, and adherence to food safety guidelines. Prior cashier or service experience is a plus; the position is typically full-time in a retail bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow production lists and VTAs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with cake orders in person or by phone.
• Apply decorating techniques per VTAs to produce quality cakes.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise products while maintaining freshness.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards are followed in the bakery.
• Read the daily production list and ensure cakes reach the showcase on time.
