H-E-B is seeking a Cake Decorator to decorate and merchandise cakes and pastries daily. You will take orders, assist customers, and ensure quality with proper decorating techniques following VTAs and production lists.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail, along with basic computer and labeling equipment proficiency. Brand-compliant food safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 18+ age requirement.
• 1+ years of experience required.
• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (e.g., PC, symbol, scales, label machine) is required.
• Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
• Reading and writing skills, plus planning and organizing capabilities.
• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Company Orientation, safety training, and eCommerce Online Ordering training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service and takes cake orders with accuracy.
• Applies proper decorating techniques to produce quality cakes and pastries.
• Prepares, packages, labels, and merchandises fresh product daily.
• Maintains sanitation and complies with food safety standards.
• Reads and follows daily production lists and ensures timely showcase placement.
