Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. is hiring Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics to maintain a package handling facility.

The role supports a fast-paced 24x7 operation with an 8-hour night shift (3rd shift), Monday to Friday, requiring a strong electrical background and an ability to pass an electrical assessment. The job involves troubleshooting AC/DC electrical equipment, motors, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and periodic welding.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical background and must pass electrical assessment.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical equipment and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment including batteries, control stations, relays, VFDs, and encoders.
• Inspect and repair motors, conveyors, pulleys, rollers, and drive components.
• Inspect and repair pneumatic equipment like diverters, hoses, and coils.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic components such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
• Weld equipment supports and safety structures as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on conveyors and plant equipment.
