Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a permanent BaSE Mechanics role to maintain a package handling facility in a fast-paced 24x7 operation. The position requires a strong electrical background, the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, and the flexibility to work Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 PM shifts.

Electrical assessments must be passed. Responsibilities include troubleshooting AC/DC equipment, repairing conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, welding

Qualifications

• Must have a strong electrical background and be able to pass an electrical assessment.
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment (batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo-driven equipment, photoelectrical devices, transducers, VFDs, encoders).
• Inspect and repair mechanical components (motors, drive chains, belts, pulleys, rollers, conveyors).
• Inspect and repair pneumatic equipment (diverters, lubricators, hoses, coils).
• Inspect and repair hydraulic equipment (hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps).
• Weld equipment as needed for support structures and belts.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on conveyors and related plant equipment.
