Job summary

UPS is hiring Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics to perform maintenance at a UPS package handling facility. The role supports 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment and requires a strong electrical background with an ability to pass an electrical assessment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24x7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment (batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, VFDs, encoders).
• Inspecting, repairing, and replacing mechanical components (motors, belts, bearings, conveyors).
• Inspecting, repairing pneumatic equipment (diverters, hoses, lubricators).
• Inspecting, repairing hydraulic equipment (hoses, fittings, cylinders).
• Welding handrails, conveyor supports, and related structures.
• Performing preventive maintenance inspections on conveyors and power equipment.
