Job summary

The University of North Carolina’s Cone University Center is seeking a Building Services Technician for a third-shift, 40-hour work week. The role covers cleaning and building services to maintain high standards across the Center, including floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas.

Under the supervision of the shift supervisor, you’ll also support custom room setups and assist with various duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building areas inside and designated outside perimeter to established standards.
• Operate auto scrubbers, burnishers and extractors for floors and carpets.
• Review room reservation documents and reports to organize daily workflow.
• Assist student workers with custom room setups and ensure rooms meet safety standards.
• Follow safety procedures and attend required safety workshops.
