Job summary

University of North Carolina Charlotte is hiring a Building Environmental Tech to maintain Cone University Center and related facilities. The role follows a third-shift schedule from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, Friday through Tuesday, 40 hours per week.

Primary duties include housekeeping, floor care, cleaning and assisting with room setups for university events. You will adhere to safety procedures, maintain high cleanliness standards, and coordinate with a shift supervisor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work.
• Follows safety procedures and uses cleaning chemicals correctly.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building areas to high standards, primarily Cone University Center.
• Operate equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, extractors for floors and carpets.
• Stock restrooms, sanitize, clean windows, offices, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Review room reservation documents to organize daily workflow.
• Assist with custom room setups and coordinate with supervisor and student workers.
