NC State University seeks an Environmental Services Technician I to maintain over 10 million square feet of campus space, ensuring a safe and inviting atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. The role supports a dynamic team of over 320 professionals and requires lifting and physical duties.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Special certification may be required for some of these positions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize designated areas to maintain a safe, hygienic environment.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or maintenance needs and respond to emergencies.
• Operate housekeeping equipment (vacuums, mops, scrubbers) and perform floor stripping, carpet extraction, and window washing.
• Assist with seasonal cleaning tasks and coordinate with supervisors as needed.
• Follow safety instructions and maintain balance while handling cleaning duties.
